Fillers Workshop with Merz Aesthetics

The Skin and Cancer Foundation, Inc., together with Dr. Beverly Ong-Amoranto and Merz Philippines, Inc., held a Fillers workshop last April 26, 2022.

Dr. Ong-Amoranto discussed the facial anatomy, types of fillers, and as well as precautionary measures during adminstration of fillers. This was followed by a demonstration on the proper techniques of facial analysis and fillers administration in clinic practice. Afterwards, each senior resident had the opportunity to practice their techniques.

We would like to thank Merz Philippines, Inc. for graciously hosting this workshop, and to the SCFI training committee for constantly providing us with opportunities to learn from some of the best dermatologists in the country.

 

The Philippine Psoriasis Registry Talk

Congratulations to our very own chairman, Dr. Vermen Verallo-Rowell and third year resident, Dr. Fendi Bautista for an insightful talk on The Philippine Psoriasis Registry held last April 9, 2022 in cooperation with Psoriasis Philippines( PsorPhil).

The Philippine Psoriasis Registry is a study aimed at collating real world data on the demographics, as well as experiences of Filipino psoriasis patients.

This will be valuable for the future of our psoriasis patients in terms of health care and economic policies, as well as other essential support.

Botulinum Toxin Workshop

The Skin and Cancer Foundation, Inc., together with Dr. Irene Gaile Robredo-Vitas and Merz Aesthetics Philippines, Inc., held a Botulinum Toxin workshop last March 14, 2022.

Dr. Robredo-Vitas discussed the facial anatomy and demonstrated the proper techniques of toxin administration in clinic practice. Afterwards, each resident had the opportunity to practice their skills.

We would like to thank Merz Philippines, Inc. for graciously hosting this workshop, and to the SCFI training committee for constantly providing us with avenues to become the best dermatologists we can be.

  

  

   

 

Acne Surgery and Chemical Peel Workshop

The Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc. residents kick-started this month of March with an Acne Surgery and Chemical peel workshop at the Dermatology OPD in Quirino Memorial Medical Center, facilitated by Dr. Claudine Joy Ramos. This was held last March 4, 2022 (Friday). A live demonstration of the proper technique was done by Dr. Ramos before each resident handled their own patient. 

We would like to extend our gratitude to all our participants, consultants, and residents who made this workshop possible.
