The Skin and Cancer Foundation, Inc. (SCFI) is one of the eleven residency training institutions accredited by the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS). It is the second residency training program to be approved by the PDS. The PDS, in turn, is the only specialty society for Dermatology accredited by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) and the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP).

Dermatosis in Pregnancy: What to Do When There's a Baby on Board

Last September 26, 2018, Skin & Cancer Foundation, Inc. hosted the PDS Monthly CME entitled "Dermatosis in Pregnancy: What to Do When There's a Baby on Board" held at Wack Wack Golf & Country Club, Mandaluyong City. After a series of lectures, representatives from the different PDS-accredited institutions participated in the annual PDS quiz bee and a fun round of friendly competition!

PSV Convention: Best Scientific Poster Award

Congratulations to our SCFI resident, Dr. Claudine Ramos, who participated in the Philippine Society of Venerealogy Convention last October 5, 2018. She was awarded the Best Scientific Poster Award for her case report entitled "Disseminated Zoster in an Immunocompromised".

INFOcus: Filipino Skin


Last July 6-8, 2018, Skin and Cancer Foundation held their 8th Post Graduate Course, entitled "INFOcus: Filipino Skin" in Mariveles, Bataan! Activities included a medical mission, a day of interesting lectures, a fellowship night, and a tour around the nostalgic ambiance of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. It was an enlightening weekend that juxtaposed culture and innovation, and made one proud to be Filipino!
