Preoperative and Postoperative Considerations in Peels, Microneedling and Dermabrasion Talk and Workshop

The Skin and Cancer Foundation, Inc. residents attended a workshop on the basics of chemical peels, microneedling and microdermabrasion last April 29,2022 at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center Boardroom.
Dr. Kathryn Cembrano-Mamaclay gave a lecture on the Peoperative and Postoperative Considerations in Peel, Microneedling and Dermabrasion. This was followed by a demonstration on the techniques of microneedling and microdermabrasion facilitated by Dr. Claudine Ramos and Dr Janice Almeda, respectively. Afterwards, the residents each had the opportunity to practice their skills on volunteer patients.
We would like to thank Kusum Health Philippines, Inc. for being a part of this workshop. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the SCFI training committee, together with QMMC Department of Dermatology Chairman Dr. Hildegarde Cabrera, for another opportunity to hone our skills in the aspect of cosmetic dermatology.
